Non-Newtonian Fluid

Mr. Chris made non-Newtonian fluid with us today!  In case you're not quite sure what that is, it's just corn starch and water.  It looks like a liquid, but it feels like a solid.  You can pick up chunks of it, but then it melts like a liquid.  We had an awesome time playing and getting a little messy!

Q Bear Meets Lilliana

I left school and I took Q Bear to my Mima’s house but I didn’t play with him because I didn’t want to lose him.  And then, he went to gymnastics with me and did a flip with me.  And then, he came home with me.  I put him in my baby’s highchair and he ate dinner with me.  Next, he sat and did homework with me.  

He was watching me do homework, staring at me. Then we, um, I got done with homework.  I took a shower and he like watched me take a shower.  

My brother tried to take Q Bear from me, but I nicely, gently, took it out of his hands.  I put him under my blankies so he got warm and had things to snuggle with.  And then, I took him out of the blankies and he read a chapter book with me.  We went to bed together.  In the middle of the night, but I didn’t notice, he rolled over and fell in the crack out of my bunk bed.

We woke up in the morning and he got ready with me.  His buttons were a little unbuttoned so I had to make them correct.  Next, I showed my dad his cool Hawaiian outfit.

I put him in the car seat and we went to school.  After that, we um, got to school and he took a ride in his backpack.  And then I brought him back to Ms. Hausman’s room.  

And, that’s it.  I went to BASE without him.

Q Bear's adventure with Matthew

Q Bear got to visit Matthew yesterday.  Here's what Matthew had to say about their time together:

Hello my name is Matthew. I would like to share all the awesome things I did with Q Bear. The first thing I had to do was give Q Bear the biggest HUG ever. I brought him home and gave him a tour of my house. We played with my toys and I think Q Bear really enjoyed the ride in my extra large dump truck. I read to Q Bear, and even showed him that I can write my site words on my chalkboard. I even brought Q Bear to pick up my big brother at school. Finally, I played in my bed with Q Bear and we listen to a bedtime story before we were sound asleep.

Ayden - We did calendar.  We did recess.  We did language arts rotations.
Brielle - We did lunch.
Cal - We did student of the week, recess, language arts, and silly sentence.
Carson - We learned about snowmen.
Chace - We did the calendar.
Ella - We did math.
Ethan - We did recess and we had snack.
Gino - We did student of the week.
Henry - We did the mitten.  We did student of the week.  We dressed weather bear.  We did sharing.
Izabella - We did a math problem.
Jovie - We did math.  We learned about the blue cars and the red cars and then we went to snack.  We did a read aloud.
Kara - We did math.
Karina - We did star of the week and we did read aloud.
Leanna - We did calendar.
Leo - We went to recess.
Lilliana - We did the little ladybug stuff in math.
Madeleine - We read the real piggy.
Matthew - We wrote on the whiteboards.
Pierce - We went to recess and we dressed up weather bear.
Royce - We did recess, student of the week, opening, read aloud, and math.
Sahib - We went to recess and we played with playdough.
Sam - We did a silly sentence patterning chart.
Sophie - We went to the school library.

Snow!

We made "snow" today!  It was just baking soda and shaving cream, but we had a blast!

Our First Day in the Library

We had a great first day in the library!  First, we got to listen to a story about library rules.

After that we got to check out books to take back to our classroom.

We're looking forward to going to the library again next week!
