American Symbols Team Tasks

Yesterday we did an American symbols team task.  Students were able to demonstrate their knowledge of American symbols while practicing teamwork and problem solving.

Here are our finished team tasks!

Cal and Q Bear

Cal got to spend the day with Q Bear yesterday! Here's what he had to say about their time together:

I was excited to bring Q Bear home with me.
We jumped on the tramp with my brother.
I read him some books after school.
He waited in the car while I went to baseball practice and then we ate my favorite dinner, beef stroganoff.
I liked having Q Bear spend the day with me.

Chace and Q Bear

Q Bear went home with Chace yesterday! Here's what Chace had to say about their time together:

Q Bear came home from school with me today. We drove Henry home then read his Hawaii book. At home we went into the garage and got my baseball stuff. I took Q Bear into the backyard and taught him how to bat. I took pictures with Q Bear. I stacked baseballs into a bucket to build a seat for Q Bear to sit. He watched Dad and me play catch. Next, we went inside. Q Bear, Dad, and me played checkers. Q Bear was on my team. Dad won both rounds. Mom made tacos for dinner. Q Bear likes tacos a lot. Q Bear sat with me when I did my homework. He wrote some letters for me. He is going to sleep in my bed with me and all my stuffed animals. I have 20 stuffed animals on my bed. In the morning it will be my biggest sister's birthday. We are going to eat birthday pancakes and watch her open gifts before we go to school. He is going to help Haley blow out her candles.I really like Q Bear. I hope he gets to come to my house to play again.

Karina and Q Bear

Karina got to take Q Bear home yesterday! Here's what she had to say about their time together:

After school I went to my Grandma and Grandpa’s house and me and Q Bear were watching TV. Our friend Josh came over to play with my brother and me and he met Q Bear. My mom came to pick me up and then when we were leaving, I put Q Bear in the car seat and put my kitty hat on him. When we got home I took a nap with Q Bear. After I finished my dinner, I asked my mom if I could have a popsicle and she said yes. I shared my grape popsicle with Q Bear. He found some other bears. One was big, one was medium and one was small. When Q Bear found the other bears he asked the bears if he can play with them. They played together and made a big party for Q Bear. I love Q Bear because he is fuzzy, cuddly, soft, and huggable. He is my favorite stuffed animal bear that we have in our school.

Leanna and Q Bear

Q Bear got to hang out with Leanna yesterday!  Here's what she had to say about their time together:

I am very excited Q Bear coming home with me today. I gave Q Bear a nice bath and washed his clothes. Q Bear told me: "Thank you, Leanna. I smell so good now."

I combed, blow dried, and dressed him like a Princess. I gave Q Bear healthy food: broccoli. I also took a small nap with Q Bear.

My Dr. Barbie gave Q Bear a check up. Q Bear is very healthy. I showed Q Bear my dolls, ponies, tent, and my bedroom. I told Q Bear he is going to sleep with me tonight. Q Bear will be going home tomorrow, I will miss him a lot.

Antonio and Q Bear

Antonio got to take home Q Bear this week. Here's what he had to say about their time together:

Yesterday I got to take home Q Bear. I was so happy. We went to Buffalo Wild Wings with Q Bear for dinner. When we were going to order food, me and Q Bear looked to see what was on the menu. I had a cheeseburger and Q Bear had wings with my sister, mommy, and daddy. We were happy. After dinner me and Q Bear played catch with my football. After me and Q Bear played football, we went to go and read his Hawaiian book. My sister read it with us. After we read Q Bear's Hawaiian book we went to go and look at the snake that I was working on. He liked it! In the morning I went to go take a bath and Q Bear wanted to go inside because he saw the water and he missed Hawaii. Q Bear wanted to go for a swim, so my mommy went to turn the water on so Q Bear can go inside. After taking a bath, me and Q Bear ate cereal and Q Bear made a mess. Q Bear was good because he cleaned it up. After eating breakfast me and Q Bear went to go brush our teeth. Today I had to bring Q Bear back to school. I missed him.

Global School Play Day

Happy Global School Play Day!  We spent pretty much the whole day playing, and we had a blast!
